By-Laws/Adjudication 

Reviews SCG By-Laws and policies, handle and process complaints/issues filed with SCG

Conditions and Services

Represents student complaints regarding services, facilities, faculty, staff, and the administration at RIC

SCG Committees

Elections

Validate petitions, advertise and run class elections, oversee organizations elections

Finance

Determine budgets, allocations, reallocations, capital improvements, conferences of student organizations

Personal Evaluation

Interviews and evaluates candidates for SCG administrative staff

Public Relations

Designs advertising for SCG and assists other organizations if they ask. Assist the VP with the website and social media accounts

Student Entertainment

Responsible for planning one big event (concert, speaker, comedian, etc.) for the student body.

Student Organizations

Review organization constitutions for new and current organizations. Plan the SCG Holiday Party and Storgy Awards (student organizations awards).

Deals with issues related to academic dishonesty

Academic Standing

Deals with issues related to academic standing and related appeal

Academic Technology Advisory

Deals with issues related to shaping support, policies, procedures, and future plans for academic technology resources and services

Advisory on Undergraduate Admissions Policy

Deals with issues related to the admission of freshmen and transfer students

Academic Policies and Procedures

Deals with issues related to academic policies and procedures, including non-classroom learning and its evaluation

Athletic, Intramural, and Recreational Policy

Deals with issues related to policies and procedures governing athletic, intramural, and recreational programs.

College Lectures

Deals with issues related to requesting the budget and overseeing the expenditure of funds to support College lectures

College Missions and Goals

Deals with issues related to the mission and purpose of RIC and serve as an advisory committee to the President

Convocations

Deals with issues related to convocations, commencements, and other College events specified by the President

Online Learning

Deals with issues related to distance and hybrid learning

Honorary Degrees

Deals with issues related to honorary degrees. It solicits, receives, and submits nominations to the Council
